"We are part of the Earth and it is part of us".
The fragrant flowers are our sisters.
The deer, the horse, the great eagle and soon are our
brothers. The rocky
cressets, the juices in the meadows, the body heat of the pony and
man all belong to the same family” – Chief Seattle.
In
Japanese “MIDORI” reflects a synonym for “Green”
in English; thus, conceptually our desires are directed to one
single notion. That
is a salubrious & greener environment.
But our objectives are not only confined to that purpose.
We have a dream of a world – a much greener, splendid and
affectionate one,
filled with humanitarian love, trust and devotion.
If we epitomize the desire of the founder of MIDORI
FOUNDATION in just three words, it denotes “Humane
Environmental Perfection”.
In
this backdrop, beautiful surroundings rich with fauna and flora;
a dawn with a sweet scented breeze, harmonized with the
melodies of birds; freshness of the air and sparkle of the water
is our dream. And it
is our responsibility to nourish this marvelous gift for the
sustenance and prosperity of all living beings.
A gift bestowed on us by nature has to be preserved and
passed on to the next generation, with adequate instrumentation
and security.
Today
we have a ‘media influenced’ society and it has become a
deciding tool in most aspects.
According to a media expert “the Bible of the modern
world is the media”. There
are instances, that the media highlight the importance of
environmental protection. This
process has succeeded in planting the idea that “we should save
the nature” for survival of the world.
But unfortunately some pay scant respect for this notion.
Discarding of waste has become a threat to the environment
and even results in biological destruction.
Why do all this happen?
It can be attributed to the following:
- Economic
Reasons & Poverty.
- Poor
awareness.
- Defective
psychological perceptions
